Things you need to know about COVID-19


According to everydayhealth.com, COVID 19, also called coronavirus disease 2019, is the respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, the technical name for the new coronavirus. It is part of a family of coronavirus diseases that include the common cold, SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).

It was first reported at the end of 2019 in Wuhan, China, and the first confirmed case in the United States was on January 2, 2020, in Washington State (source: everydayhealth.com)

These are the most common symptoms of COVID-19; fever, tiredness, cough and even shortness of breath. It is person-to-person transmission.

Be protected from COVID-19:

* Always wear your face mask and face shield.

* Sanitize your hands regularly.

* Maintain at least 1-meter physical distancing.

* Limit yourself from physical interaction.

* Stay in good indoor ventilation or secure a place where air flow is better.

Be informed and beware of this COVID-19 by eating nutritious food, exercising daily, having 8-10 hrs. of sleep, and practicing self-care.
