Majority of the people in town are now fully vaccinated. Does it mean that they are free from the virus? The answer is ‘No’, as the virus keeps on spreading and mutating, people who are fully vaccinated should not be complacent, more so to those who did not take a shot.
Social
Distancing is implemented purposely to lessen close contact between people. In
addition to, the CDC highlighted the essence of Social Distancing in which:
remaining out of “congregate settings” as much as possible; avoiding mass
gatherings; maintaining distance of about 6 feet from the others when possible.
Hence, the probable distance will approximately be 1.5 - 1.8 meters between
yourself and the others. This is important in reducing our chances of catching
the virus and spreading it to our loved ones, within our circle which includes
workmates, friends, and others within the community.
However,
do not totally isolate yourself to the point of not reaching out to your closed
ones as it will also help in avoiding anxieties, stress, and depression. In the
Geisinger website, it emphasizes the recommendations given by Dr. Brodginski,
in taking measures to safely stay connected by means of:
-
Video Chatting,
-
Making Phone Calls,
-
Text Messaging,
-
Using the Social Media Platform,
-
Playing Video Games,
-
Enjoying Virtual Games and Movie Nights with limited people,
-
Go Hiking and Going walks outdoors (exercising the safety
protocol)
With that you’ll be able to feel the relief within you as you stay connected with them even if problems arise because of a pandemic.
Take note that the vaccines will never protect you from the virus forever.
So, keep on practicing Social
Distancing.
Be one in stopping the virus!
