2000 Calorie Diet
My brother introduced me to this 2,000 Calorie Diet. It sounded interesting so I made a research on it.
Losing weight is an everyday struggle to some. Other people would even allow themselves to get starved in order to achieve their dream weight. And still, others imprison themselves in the gym to battle with those extra calories. Usually, the goal to lose becomes a failure.
What is the proper way to lose weight? Beforehand, we need to know what our body needs.
For the body to function very well, it requires a certain amount of energy. These energies are the calories we get from the food that we eat. Normally, the body needs 2,000 calories a day for the heart to pump, the lungs to fill with air, the stomach to digest food and all other things one doesn’t think about. Extra energy maybe needed by the body for work like running around for an errand or lifting heavy objects.
If the body consumes more than 2,000 calories in one day, let’s say, you had a wonderful time munching half a dozen donuts coupled with a liter of Soda, and a bag of chips, the extra amount of calories will become stored fats.
Here is an illustration: (Please note that the illustration below is just an estimate and used mainly for the purpose of giving a clear explanation.)
6 donuts = 1,500 calories (250 per donut * 6 donuts)
1 liter Soda = 400 calories
1 bag Chips = 450 calories
A total of 2,350 calories
2,000 calories will be consumed by the body to normally function within the day, even without work-out or exercise however the extra 350 calories will be stored in the body and ultimately, if not burned, will become fat.
The point is if you know how many calories you consume daily, you will better assess yourself whether there is a need for you to go to the gym or to just sit, relax, and enjoy a good day ahead.
Keep healthy!
